Pemerolehan Bahasa Moi di Kota Sorong Papua Barat Daya : Studi Kasus pada Suku Moi di Papua Barat Daya
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemerolehan bahasa Moi berdasarkan jenis kelamin, umur, tingkat pendidikan, dan jenis pekerjaan responden. Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan penutur bahasa Moi yang ada di kota Sorong. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 168 orang dan dipilih secara acak menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, kuesioner dan wawancara. Data penelitian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualtitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Kota Sorong, Papua Barat Daya pada bulan April 2022 - September 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase pemerolehan tertinggi bahasa Moi secara berturu-turut terjadi di lingkungan masyarakat, keluarga dan melalui media. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut disimpulkan bahwa ada upaya pemertahanan bahasa Moi yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Moi. Di sisi lain, persentase penggunaan bahasa Moi di lingkungan keluarga lebih rendah daripada penggunaan bahasa Indonesia. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya gejala pergeseran bahasa Moi yang terjadi pada suku Moi terutama di ranah keluarga.
