Representasi Pengalaman Tokoh dan Ideologi Pengarang dalam Kumpulan Cerpen Sepasang Sepatu Tua Karya Sapardi Djoko Damono (kajian fungsional sistemik)

Abstract

This research is entitled Representation of Character Experience and Author's Ideology in the Short Story Collection A Pair of Old Shoes by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The aim of the research is to reveal the representation of the characters' experiences and the author's ideology as reflected in the short story collection A Pair of Old Shoes. This research uses qualitative research by applying descriptive methods. The data source for this research is the text of the short story A Pair of Old Shoes by Sapardi Djoko Damono. Data collection was carried out using reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this research show that (1) the representation of experience is dominated by mental and material processes, mentally expressing the meaning of the character's experience which is related to consciousness such as affection, cognition, perception, desires, and ideas and material representation explains the meaning of the experience made or received by the person. the characters in the short story are related to physical activity (2) Sapardi's ideology which is reflected based on the use of mental and material verbs, namely inviting readers to participate in seeing, imagining, thinking about and feeling the experiences of the characters in the short story.
